সূরা আশ- শামস

বাংলা উচ্চারণ :

বিসমিল্লাহির রাহমানির রাহিম

অশ শামসি অদুহা-হা। অল ক্বামারি ইযা তালাহা। অন্নাহারি ইযা জ্বাল্লাহা। অলাইলি ইযা ইয়াগশাহা। অসসামা য়ি অমা বানাহা। অল আরদ্বি অমা ত্বোয়াহাহা। অ নাফসিও অমা সাওয়াহা। ফায়ালহামাহা ফুজুরহা অতাক্বওয়াহা। ক্বাদ আফলাহা মান যাক্কাহা। অক্বাদ খাবামান দাসসাহা। ক্বাযযাবাত ছামূদ বিত্বোয়াগওয়াহা। ইযিম বা'আছা আশক্বাহা। ফাক্বালা লাহুম রাসূলুল্লাহি না কাতাল্লাহি অসুক্বইয়াহা। ফাকাযযাবূহু ফা'আকারুহা ফাদামদামা আলাইহীম রাবুহুম বিযাম্বিহিম ফাসাওয়াহা। অলা ইয়াখাফু উক্ববাহা।

بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ
বিসমিল্লাহির রাহমানির রাহিম
শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু

[1] শপথ সূর্যের ও তার কিরণের,

[1] By the sun and its brightness;

[2] শপথ চন্দ্রের যখন তা সূর্যের পশ্চাতে আসে,
[2] By the moon as it follows it (the sun)

[3] শপথ দিবসের যখন সে সূর্যকে প্রখরভাবে প্রকাশ করে,
[3] By the day as it shows up (the sun's) brightness;

[5] শপথ আকাশের এবং যিনি তা নির্মাণ করেছেন, তাঁর।
[5] By the heaven and Him Who built it;

[6] শপথ পৃথিবীর এবং যিনি তা বিস্তৃত করেছেন, তাঁর,
[6] By the earth and Him Who spread it,

[7] শপথ প্রাণের এবং যিনি তা সুবিন্যস্ত করেছেন, তাঁর,
[7] And by Nafs (Adam or a person or a soul), and Him Who perfected him in proportion;

[8] অতঃপর তাকে তার অসৎকর্ম ও সৎকর্মের জ্ঞান দান করেছেন,
[8] Then He showed him what is wrong for him and what is right for him;

[9] যে নিজেকে শুদ্ধ করে, সেই সফলকাম হয়।
[9] Indeed he succeeds who purifies his ownself (i.e. obeys and performs all that Allâh ordered, by following the true Faith of Islâmic Monotheism and by doing righteous good deeds).

[10] এবং যে নিজেকে কলুষিত করে, সে ব্যর্থ মনোরথ হয়।
[10] And indeed he fails who corrupts his ownself (i.e. disobeys what Allâh has ordered by rejecting the true Faith of Islâmic Monotheism or by following polytheism or by doing every kind of evil wicked deeds)

[11] সামুদ সম্প্রদায় অবাধ্যতা বশতঃ মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল।
[11] Thamûd (people) denied (their Prophet) through their transgression (by rejecting the true Faith of Islâmic Monotheism, and by following polytheism, and by committing every kind of sin).

[12] যখন তাদের সর্বাধিক হতভাগ্য ব্যক্তি তৎপর হয়ে উঠেছিল।
[12] When the most wicked man among them went forth (to kill the she-camel).

[13] অতঃপর আল্লাহর রসূল তাদেরকে বলেছিলেনঃ আল্লাহর উষ্ট্রী ও তাকে পানি পান করানোর ব্যাপারে সতর্ক থাক।
[13] But the Messenger of Allâh [Sâlih (Saleh) A.S.] said to them: "Be cautious! (Fear the evil end). That is the she-camel of Allâh! (Do not harm it) and bar it not from having its drink!"

[14] অতঃপর ওরা তার প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল এবং উষ্ট্রীর পা কর্তন করেছিল। তাদের পাপের কারণে তাদের পালনকর্তা তাদের উপর ধ্বংস নাযিল করে একাকার করে দিলেন।
[14] Then they denied him and they killed it. So their Lord destroyed them because of their sin, and made them equal in destruction (i.e. all grades of people, rich and poor, strong and weak)!

[15] আল্লাহ তা’আলা এই ধ্বংসের কোন বিরূপ পরিণতির আশংকা করেন না।
[15] And He (Allâh) feared not the consequences thereof.
